The Crystal Kingdom Social Enterprise CIC would love to host a free reading workshop or a series of free reading workshops in your primary school.
WHAT ARE THE CRYSTAL KINGDOM WORKSHOPS?
The Crystal Kingdom Reading Programmes is an initiative to distribute novels and interactive workshops to schools, libraries, community centres, hospitals, hospices and various other organisations. The novels and workshops contain positive reinforcement messages and life coping strategies for children and parents of all ages to provide them with the skills to deal with life’s challenges. In addition, the workshops will encourage them to enjoy reading regularly.
Each workshop is designed to cater for up to 30 children who will each receive an extensive activity pack including the following materials:
•A paperback copy of The Magical Secret of the Crystal Kingdom
•An activity book including colouring sheets
•A two sided collectable character card
•A pack of colouring pencils
•A collectable crystal
•A branded re-usable canvas bag
The workshop will be conducted by a local youth ambassador and will be an interactive Q&A discussion, with sections of The Magical Secret of the Crystal Kingdom being read out loud to the class.
All of this will be delivered to the school completely FREE of charge thanks to the support of the local community which has kindly covered all expenses.

All of the appropriate checks will be carried out on anyone involved in conducting the workshops.

The workshop will be attended by one of our Youth Ambassadors and their Advocate (appropriate adult) if necessary.

Our workshops are funded by local individuals and businesses as well as national companies. We also use crowdfunding sites. Our ethos is “funded by the community; for the community”. We will provide you with a list of sponsors that want to be known.

A workshop should last between 45 minutes to 1 hour and will be delivered at a time convenient for all parties
